Hey there, hockey family! With a very successful Festival this year over the August bank holiday weekend! Your favourite festival hosts are going to be back next year! We’re already getting lots of interest for this years event (it’s only been a few weeks since the last one), It seems that we haven’t lost our touch the teams that took part in this year really did enjoy themselves and are looking to come back next year, which we are super happy about that. We’ll be back and ready to rumble in honour of our 15th year hosting’The Norman Todd Memorial’ Festival.
Same as this year, We’re running the festival at the same time as our sports club S&BeerFest to create one heck of a weekend of hockey, music and entertainment (drinking).
That’s right it’s going to be hockey, beer and music again, to create one epic weekend, they don’t say Hockey has a Beer problem for no reason right lol… We’re talking non-stop fun, lots of banter, laughter and of course, a little, friendly fun festival vibes on the pitch.
So, buckle up, get your kit on and get ready for a weekend you won’t forget. Don’t forget to practice your skills because you’re in for a wild ride next year. We’re ready to make some more great memories and have a fantastic tournament… Are you ready?

Ladies and gents, hold onto your hats because This year’s festival is going to be a fantastic one again – celebrating our forth year of doing a seven-a-side hockey festival extravaganza! That’s right, it’s going to be another year of top-festival hockey which is giving you more of what you love, entertainment, banter and good old-fashioned fun hockey.
Now, we know what you’re thinking – “why mess with a good thing?” So we haven’t, we’re all about pushing boundaries and trying new things but also not about reinventing the wheel. Just like last year, this means we can fit more teams into the mix, which means even more opportunities to show off your silky skills, on and off the pitch.
But wait… there’s more excitement coming your way! We’re thrilled to announce that we’ll be offering camping at the hockey festival grounds. Yes, you heard it right! You can now extend the fun beyond the field and immerse yourself in the full festival experience under the starlit sky.
So, get your kit ready and start practicing those fancy moves, we mean skills… It’s going to be a weekend of non-stop action, laughter, camaraderie, and now, camping adventures. We can’t wait to see you there!

The Hockey Festival
Saturday and Sunday August Bank Holiday Weekend
The Hockey Festival is organised by Southport Hockey Club and is a memorial event for Norman Todd who was a stalwart of the club for many years.
This year’s event includes:
- Camping (Friday to Monday)
- Men’s Se7ens (Saturday)
- Women’s Se7ens (Saturday)
- Mixed Se7ens (Sunday)

The Beer Festival is organised by Southport & Birkdale Sports Club and it will be the 8th year this has been held and it is the highlight of the area and the club.
What’s on offer…
- Multiple varieties of Beers, Ales and Ciders
- Live Music as well as a DJ’s throughout the Day and Evening(s)
- Multiplee Bars offering various beverages
- Food Stalls with various options

Hockey Festival will be played on a sand dressed Astroturf at Greenbank High School which is only a 10min walk from the Beer Festival venue at Southport & Birkdale Sports Club.
